Comment from a client:   "Paul helped me cope through some of the darkest times in my life and he is one of the few people I could be completely honest with and know I wasn’t being judged. He is the most genuine and compassionate man I know and a true treasure to have in my life."  -Katherine

I started my counseling practice in 1965 in which the focus is on healing from within. Attention is given to expression of feelings related to losses, frustration, loneliness and transitions. Explorations are from mental, physical, spiritual and emotional perspectives.

I encourage anyone to break free from self-imposed limitations, to discover their inner power, to love, and to live fully.

My counseling style is gentle, respectful, and compassionate. I offer unconditional acceptance and remain unobtrusively present during the session. I use an eclectic approach, drawing from the pioneers of client-centered therapy and Abraham Maslow’s important work on the meeting of our needs

Counseling services are available by self-referral or by referral from other professionals (doctors, lawyers, CAS workers and others). Many clients are referred by a friend or a family member.

Fee:  The charge for one hour is $100.  For those unable to pay the full fee, I will adjust the charge according to personal circumstances.

Comments from referring professionals:

"Paul is the essence of presence. I have known Paul for years and as a client of his, as well as a community professional myself, I can truly say that Paul is unmistakably non-judgmental, gentle, clear, kind, caring, and genuine. Paul has the experience of many life times. His ability to help comes not only from these experiences, but from a genuine concern for others and for their ongoing journey. The details of one's life are of interest to Paul - not so that one can be calculated, dismantled, or categorized, but rather, because Paul views the person as worthy, capable, whole, creative, unique, and sacred. Such interactions with Paul inevitably create conditions of trust, and of sharing. Over the years, I have referred many people to Paul, and the feedback is the same. Interactions with Paul are enlightening, supportive, meaningful, and life changing. I would strongly recommend Paul to anyone who is enduring any of life's challenges!"  -  Greg Triebner, SSW,BSW,MSW,RSW

“I have known Paul for many years, he is the most compassionate counsellor that I have ever met with laser sharp understanding of complex situations. Paul has a very unique way of inviting his clients to view their situations by sharing his experiences as a professional counsellor and choose simplified responses that directly addresses the core root of challenges at hand. His philosophy of life , energy, and humanity is the utmost strength of his work because he lives it and not just believes it. To know Paul and work with him, is a tremendous privilege, because he is a lover of life”. – Amir Saeidi BSW, MSW, RSW
