My journey
of discovery began on a farm near Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. At age 18, I went to
Chicago to attend university and seminary. After some years as a clergyman, I realized I
did not want to live and work inside the structure of religion, and became a probation
officer.
I started my
counselling practice in 1968 in which the focus is on healing from within. Attention
is given to expression of feelings related to losses, frustration, loneliness and
transitions. Explorations are from mental, physical, spiritual and emotional perspectives.
I encourage anyone to break free from self-imposed limitations, to discover our inner
power, to love, and to live fully.
For 23 years
I taught Human Relations at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Canada. During this time,
I wrote six books. Currently I am co-leading a Bereavement Group in London.
I am the
proud father of two daughters, Sharon, who lives in Vancouver, and Ann,
who lives in Waterloo.
My goal is
to inspire people with my series of books on relationships, the self, purpose, living,
learning and growing, and making dreams come true. Using simple yet profound statements
accompanied by the illustrations of artist Barry Trower, I help us think about the calm,
fervent truth of child innocence which is also the wisdom of the ages. The books are
designed to initiate lively discussion or quiet contemplation.
